Maverick Solar Services (Pty) Ltd, trading as Maverick Solar Solutions (Reg. 2023/696226/07), uses your personal information only to quote, install, certify and support your solar or air conditioning system.
What we collect
Your name, contact number, email address, installation address, photos of your roof and DB board, and your electricity usage. We collect your ID number or municipal account number only where the law requires it for your Certificate of Compliance or SSEG application. We do not collect special personal information or payment card details.
Why we use it
To give you a quote, carry out and certify your installation, register it with the municipality or Eskom, register your equipment warranties, invoice you and support you afterwards.
Who we share it with
Only the municipality or Eskom (for SSEG applications), equipment manufacturers (for warranties), our accountant, and, if you came to us through a bank or financier, that bank or financier. We never sell your information.
How we protect it
Your information is kept on password-protected systems with two-factor authentication. Our staff are bound by confidentiality and only see what they need to do their work.
How long we keep it
Accounting records are kept for 5 years, as tax law requires. Installation and compliance records are kept for the life of your system so we can support it.
